How do I recognize that there are radioactive rays in the air?

You are at school. You listen neither to the radio nor watch TV, correct? You learn, you play, you are at the gym.

However, your headmistress or your headmaster hears the first warning sign. This comes from a siren and is wailing for exactly three minutes. The siren tells us there is danger. At once your headmistress or your headmaster turns on the radio and listens to what has happened. Radio and TV have to give notice at once! The news also tells us if there is a radioactive cloud coming close to our place. Now your headmistress or headmaster know exactly what to do because they were trained for this emergency as well as your teachers have been. The wail of a siren at your school does not mean you have to leave the house at once – as in a fire-emergency – but it wants to keep you from going out of the building!

In case the second warning sign taking a whole minute, changing from loud to quiet, starts the adults at the schoolhouse become very busy.
